Scottish coach operator Doig’s of Glasgow has taken two new Irizar integral coaches to replace two older Irizars.
“These are like-for-like replacements,” says director and transport manager Iain Forsyth. “Irizar can supply a very versatile 57-seat vehicle with a toilet on two axles. This specification provides us with a coach equally capable of undertaking extended tour work or day hires.”
Doig’s runs more than 30 vehicles, ranging from chauffeured luxury cars to 86-seat double-deckers, and has been in business for 27 years.
The latest coaches to be delivered by Irizar UK are a 12.2m, 53-seat, two-axle i6, and a 12.9m, two-axle, 57-seat i6.
Both coaches have identical drivelines, with DAF MX-11 271 369 hp engines driving ZF AS tronic 12-speed automated manual transmissions.
The i6 Plus seating is full leather in both coaches with seat-back tables, Actia video and Bosch audio systems, and central sunken toilets plus kitchen areas with drinks machines.
