Longstanding Volvo customer DJ Thomas Coaches, has taken delivery of a new Volvo 9900 coach, one of the first operators to take delivery of Volvo’s new flagship integrated vehicle.
The family-owned company, based in Neath, purchased the 53-seat coach for new contracts and its tour operations.
“We have been very happy with previous Volvo 9700s which performed extremely well on our touring programme,” says director Lee Gibson. “The 9900 is the next step up in the ultimate luxury vehicle.
“We pride ourselves on quality and comfort and our customers expect the best from us. We know that the new Volvo 9900 will deliver everything we promise and more.
“We need vehicles we can rely on in the competitive touring market where having a vehicle off the road, especially in the busy summer months, is not an option. We also know that the B11R chassis offers excellent fuel consumption.”
Sam Prothero, Volvo retail bus & coach sales manager, adds: “DJ Thomas Coaches has been a loyal customer of ours for many years now, having purchased several vehicles, including a number of 9700s, from us in the past.”
DJ Thomas Coaches has been in business since 1954, initially offering coach hire services, and in 2011 the company launched a coach holiday business with an international tour programme.
