Unwin acquires Danish firm MarTech Klipev

Unwin has announced the acquisition of Danish company MarTech Klipev which produces a high-tech aluminium flooring system, Spacefloor. With the addition of the MarTech portfolio, Unwin says it is now able to meet the demand for a wider product range and higher production capacity.

“We see a great opportunity with MarTech,” says Chris Hellier, CEO, Unwin. “This acquisition improves our ability to meet industry demands for flooring products. It will also allow us to grow our flooring business in mainland Europe. I am really looking forward to be able to offer the MarTech Spacefloor and the rest of the portfolio to the market.”

MarTech will continue to operate from its location in Aarbenraa, Denmark, as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Unwin.

“We are very pleased that MarTech has been acquired by the Unwin and Autoadapt group,” says Martin Christensen, founder of MarTech Klipev. “We see this as a very positive step for the future of both MarTech and the product portfolio. We are also pleased that the staff and location will remain as they are today.”

Unwin, an Autoadapt company, is part of the worldwide group with Autoadapt, BraunAbility, Bruno Independent Living Aids and Foca-Braun, offering solutions for the improvement of safe, independent living for wheelchair users.

MarTech is based in Aarbenraa in the south of Denmark, close to the German border. MarTech was established to manufacture and supply full aluminium flooring solutions to the conversion industry. MarTech has created a number of variants of the floor to suit a range of applications, including M1 and M2 and floors with integral underfloor heating systems.

The floors are supplied fully profiled to fit each vehicle and can be supplied as either a whole floor or two halves.
