Bluebird upgrades with wi-fi coaches Bluebird upgrades with wi-fi coaches
Nine new Plaxton-bodied Volvo B9Rs are running on the trunk Stagecoach Bluebird service between Aberdeen and Inverness. The coaches have toilets, CCTV and a front wheelchair lift, and also offer free wi-fi, which is part-funded by Aberdeenshire council and regional transport body Hitrans.

The service currently carries around 13,000 passengers a year, and on certain journeys passengers can pre-book with low fares using the megabus.com website.

Andrew Jarvis, managing director of Stagecoach Bluebird, says: “We are committed to providing the best possible service to our customers and the provision of these new luxury coaches is just one of the many ways we are working to attract more people onto public transport.”
