New senior management team for Stagecoach South
Stagecoach South has made two senior management appointments with Gordon Frost as the new operations director and Chris Remnant becoming engineering director.
Frost succeeds Tom Bridge who was recently appointed managing director at Stagecoach West Scotland, while Remnant replaces long-serving engineering director Richard Alexander who retired at the end of June after 51 years in the industry.
Frost’s career in the bus industry started in 1988 as a Graduate Trainee with Western Travel in Cheltenham. During his career, Gordon has been operations manager at Leamington Spa & Swindon and had commercial manager roles at Stagecoach East Kent and First Hampshire and Dorset. More recently he has held operation positions at Arriva Midlands and Thamesdown Transport.
Remnant started his career in the bus industry at 16 as an apprentice mechanic at Red & White’s Chepstow Garage. Upon completing his apprenticeship with Lex, he became shift mechanic, before serving as depot foreman at Chepstow and then assistant engineer at Brynmawr and Blackwood. He first moved to Stagecoach South in 2007 when he was appointed as engineering manager at Basingstoke. Since 2011, Chris has served the Stagecoach London division with positions at West Ham as engineering supervisor and Plumstead as engineering manager.
